CIRCUIT CLERK

Have you ever wondered just what all the Circuit Clerk’s office handles? Of course we know that is where you get your marriage license and register to vote. But this office handles so much more, such as absentee voting, jury duty, civil and criminal court, judgment roll and collection of all criminal fines.

The Circuit Clerk's office is located in the front of the Courthouse and people often stop in needing directions, guidance, or to visit and enjoy a cup of coffee. The friendly and knowledgeable staff in this office is always willing to assist people in any way they can.

The Circuit Clerk position is elected by the entire County to a four year term with no term limit.

 IMPORTANT 2023 ELECTION DATES
  • Saturday, June 24, 2023 First day of absentee vote
  • Monday, July 10, 2023- Last day to register to vote for August Primary
  • Tuesday, August 8, 2023 - Primary
  • Tuesday, August 29, 2023 - Primary Run off (if necessary)
  • Saturday, November 4, 2023 - Last day to absentee vote
  • Tuesday, November 7, 2023 - General Election
